When you are leading people who do not like change

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your work to the Lord and let Him establish what is His.

When you are leading people who do not like change. It is easy to sound spiritual until this is the thing sitting in front of you. Sometimes the breakthrough is not a dramatic change in circumstances. Sometimes it is catching the old pattern before you obey it again. Work matters, but it is a place of stewardship, not your source of identity. Jesus Christ is Lord in the office, the unemployment line, and the next chapter. Let truth interrupt the reflex before the reflex becomes another chapter.

What are you trying to control because you are afraid to trust God with the outcome?

Jesus Christ, show me what is true in this situation and expose the story I have added to it. Give me wisdom for my part, courage to obey You, and enough trust to leave the outcome in Your hands. Amen.
